Hello! Briefly about myself:

I'm an Individual Expert on the EU AI Act Advisory Forum, appointed by the European Commission to advise on AI Act implementation, representing Cooptech.
At Cooptech we help organizations that want to automate with AI do it safely. It's Portugal's first tech cooperative; I founded it in 2021 and now chair its supervisory board.
I'm finishing a PhD in distributed systems at the University of Porto, where I also teach. My research is on Byzantine fault tolerance in CRDTs.
I founded XARP, a physical-AI company: smart mirrors deployed with Portugal's largest retail group, with computation staying in the store.
Earlier: co-founder and CTO of FYX Gaming, venture-backed on-chain gaming clearing millions of transactions a day.
